Marlene Behrmann on Prosopagnosia

In this last part of goCognitive's interview with Dr. Marlene Behrmann of Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Behrmann talks about her research on prosopagnosia - commonly known as face blindness. Patients with this disorder have a difficult time identifying people based on facial information, even though their visual system is intact otherwise. Through a number of examples of her own patients, Dr. Behrmann illustrates the issues that prosopagnostic patients face in their daily lives. The interview was conducted by Cynthia Peng, an undergraduate student of psychology at Carnegie Mellon University and a member in Dr. Behrmann's lab.
